Google+: A Threat To Facebook?

I passed by 2 of my coworkers and saw them taking a tour and I was like, what is that thing? Well I know for sure, it's not a bird and neither is a plane. They call it, the Google+ project and their theme is: "Real-life sharing, rethought for web".
Basically, it's another social networking service/website. Some say it's a threat to Facebook and can definitely beat it. Now here's the catch: every service that we use on Google is actually here. "Amalgamation" is the right term, according to another blogger http://www.businessinsider.com/what-is-google-plus-2011-6 who wrote about Google+ too. (I know, but it's not too late to write a blog right? Lol).
I was lucky I get to try the trial version myself. Here are a few screen shots I took and some of its features.

Sparks according to the project itself, is a feed of only the things that you're really into, so when you're free, there's always something waiting to be watched, read or shared. Now this is something that Facebook may have so I'll consider this a tie.

Circles is the easiest way to share some things with college buddies, others with your parents and almost nothing with your boss. I find this feature convenient. The groups are already created and all you need to do is just drag them to the circle and you're done.

Hangout is definitely a plus! This feature lets you do a video chat or video "hangout" anytime and anywhere with your friends. First thing's first though, you will need to install this plug-in and you should be all set!
There you have it folks, your new hangout, Google+. =)
